  GIGONDAS «AUX LIEUX DITS» BLEND
  This Cuvee reflects all our locations in Gigondas. Its character reflects the assemblage of eight different vineyards and four typical grape varieties of the Rhône Valley. Alluvial soils, red and blue clay, as well as merge limestone, contribute as much to the taste and fragrance of this elegant and expressive wine, as do the grape varieties Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault.   The always-colourful wines, made of ideally ripe, selected grapes, have attained an infrequent level of quality and regularity. Tannins are of seductive velvetiness, and ageing of the wines is done with skills and mastery.
  The Cahors 2012 has stared a nice, classic evolution, always conducted by fine tannins. Accurate extraction for the Cèdre 2012, concentrated and long, with smooth tannins. Marked with black fruit and chocolate flavours, GC 2012 asks some years of his ageing to ripen and (...) — Lire la suite.

• Delicacy, smoothness and a hint of ginger on the final... Les Aspres 2013 from Pierre Cros #Syrah

  Even in a delicate vintage like 2013, the top cuvee of the winery shines bright like a star. Built in the same style as the previous vintage, it offers a rich bouquet of spices, ripe fruit and vanilla. On the palate, flavours of black currant and blackberries underline the creamy mouth feel. It has elegant tannins and a hint of ginger on the final.

  Pascal and Jean-Marc Verhaeghe started organic farming in the early 1990s. They were certified as organically farming wine estate in 2012. Originally devoted to the lavender culture, the winery now cultivates 27 hectares of vines and is considered as being one of leading producers in Cahors.
