Regardless to the vintage, you will be able to recognize each cuvee by its typical taste, as each one has created a distinct identity with the help of its terroir. An identity and a style that has strengthened over time, certainly due to the fact that we continuously reduce the application of sulphur in the winery.
Château du Cèdre 2014
This wine has sworn eternal fidelity and it sticks to it! Each year, it presents itself with a friendly handshake and a few attentive words. After that, it (...)
“Garage wines - “vins de garage” - are wines produced with very high quality standards by very small wine-growing estates. Typically, garage wines are distinguished by low yields per hectare, high maturity and strict selection of the grapes, as well as, of course, naturally concentrated must.” The term “Garage wine”was created in Saint-Emilion in the nineties to describe small, exclusive Cuvees, cultivated almost like gardens. If this definition is applied to the Champagne, it can be said (...)

This Cuvee reflects all our locations in Gigondas. Its character reflects the assemblage of eight different vineyards and four typical grape varieties of the Rhône Valley. Alluvial soils, red and blue clay, as well as merge limestone, contribute as much to the taste and fragrance of this elegant and expressive wine, as do the grape varieties Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault. In its youth, the wine shows an expression of fresh fruit and noble, vegetal (...)
You don’t need to travel to New York to meet good wine and rappers. Both can actually be found in the Minervois. It didn’t take more than an encounter between the winemaker Pierre and the rapper Toan to find the name and the history for the new Cuvee Domaine Pierre Cros.
The wine is an equal blend of Syrah and Mourvèdre, fermented and aged in large wooden tanks, with an intense and full bouquet: wild berries, raspberries, blueberries, mixed with cinnamon and black pepper. An unusually fresh (...)
Black like a real Cahors, some purple hints are to be seen on the rim of the glass. It has an intense, quite complex nose full of black currants and other ripe fruit, with pleasant herbal notes and spices. Extremely juicy, it reminds of a fresh coulis of red and black fruits in the mouth. And while the wine softly fondles our cheeks, a zesty freshness underlines the precision of the crispy tannins, giving a lot of length to the wine.
A piece of roasted lamb, a few caramelized figs, a (...)
How far seems the times when Rhône wines rolled over your tongue with the weight of a tractor. Though powerful and full-bodied wines don’t bother me at all, I just can resist to elegance and finesse in wine. And that despite of all the great memories of the 90s, when we drank oversized bodybuilder wines while listening as loud as possible to the Cranberries, Daft Punk or Nirvana.
But back to the present decade in which all wines seem to be searching for delicacy and minerality like never (...)
Approximately 50 km south of Epernay and the famous Côte des Blancs, there is a further, historic part of Champagne, the Sézannais. Its continental climate produces rich and full-bodied Chardonnay.
This is also where Champagne J.Vignier produces its Silexus Sézannensis, named after the fossilized remains of prehistoric vines, roots in the soils of a location called CHATET near Saudoy. It’s a special and rare terroir in Champagne. Situated on a hilltop, it offers both a northern and a southern (...)
If the reputation of the wines from the Rhône Valley mainly relies on great red wines, the whites from this region have conquered the heart of connoisseurs for a long time. Rather rare and sometimes even precious, those wines mainly surprise by the freshness and minerality that accompany her most effusive perfume. In the vineyard as in the cellar, the production of these wines requires utmost attention and precision. Yves Gras opted for organic farming years ago, the soils are ploughed and (...)
continueThe grapes for this wines, produced only in small quantities, come from vineyards next to the winery. The Cèdre Héritage, a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Muscadelle, surprises by its lightness and its crispy acidity, proposing a wide range of fruit flavours. A wine full of fun, but not without depth, that you may enjoy with raw or grilled fish, a fresh summer salad or goat cheese.
The Le Cedre Blanc is almost a myth. A proud country wine from the Lot, 100% Viognier, fermented and (...)
No wine is closer to the sun, the sea and the lightness of being than Rosé. But far from being limited to a certain frivolity, we present here a rosé with character, nevertheless marked by elegance and finesse.
Made from Grenache and Cinsault with a touch of Syrah, its light, transparent color reminds of rose petals, which one also finds in the taste, together with raspberries and lychees. Its freshness resembles to that of a grapefruit, crisp and persistent, its softness makes you think of (...)
